Charles Holzer’s Thoughts on the Glades Academy Foundation Gala

Charles Holzer Everglades

Proud to Support the Everglades Foundation Event – Charles Holzer with Mike Ramos and Debbie Fife without whom the event would not happen.

I want to thank Sonia and Paul Jones as well as Ashley and Mike Ramos for having coordinated musical guests throughout the years.

Sonia and Paul should be sainted for the work they do for this event. Debbie Fife does an unbelievable job coordinating it.

Celebrating Success: ForEverglades 2025 and the Ongoing Mission to Protect an American Treasure

As children, we learn that survival requires food, water, and shelter. But as adults, we understand that truly living demands more – a connection to art, an appreciation for the natural world, and the uplifting power of music. These elements enrich our lives and remind us of the beauty that surrounds us.

Recently, we came together for the annual ForEverglades Benefit at The Breakers Palm Beach. It was an inspiring evening that celebrated The Everglades Foundation’s vital, science-based, nonpartisan work, uniting us in the mission to preserve one of the world’s most extraordinary ecosystems. The event was made even more special by the incredible band, Earth, Wind & Fire.

The Everglades is a unique and essential ecosystem, often referred to as a “River of Grass.” It provides drinking water to over 8 million Floridians and supports a vast array of plant and animal life.

The Everglades Foundation, established in 1993, remains at the forefront of the effort to restore and protect this natural wonder. Through scientific research, strategic advocacy, and comprehensive education programs, the Foundation works to ensure the long-term health of the Everglades. Their team of Ph.D-level scientists provides expert guidance on policy issues, promoting a deep understanding of this invaluable ecosystem.
