CHARLES HOLZER THRILLED THAT HISTORICAL SOCIETY OF PALM BEACH HONORED JANE HOLZER

I was incredibly proud to see my mother, Jane Holzer, honored by the Historical Society of Palm Beach County at their 22nd Annual Archival Evening Gala. It’s a well-deserved recognition of her remarkable contributions—not just as a 1960s fashion icon and influential figure in the art world, but also as a philanthropist and real estate investor.
The gala at The Colony Hotel in Palm Beach was a wonderful celebration, with artist Bruce Helander and PALMER Editorial Director Stefano Tonchi offering introductions. Ahead of the event, Kelly Williams hosted a special gathering in my mother’s honor, bringing together close friends, major donors, and board members to celebrate her achievements.
My family has deep roots in Florida, and I take great pride in my mother’s history here. Her father owned land that became Cape Canaveral, and he donated all the articles that document the government getting that land. It’s a significant part of our family’s connection to Florida’s history, and I’m proud of the role he played in preserving it.
Seeing my mother recognized for her impact on art, culture, and philanthropy is incredibly meaningful. Her journey—from growing up in Palm Beach to becoming a defining presence in the New York art scene—continues to inspire. I couldn’t be prouder. – Charles R. Holzer
